The Ale & Compass Lounge at Disney's Yacht Club Resort is getting a facelift.
The new concept, set to debut in October, means the lobby lounge will get an expanded interior with 58 seats and a new menu of drinks and light bites, according to the Disney Parks Blog. The biggest change, according to Disney, is the fact the adjacent Captain's Grill will become the Ale & Compass Restaurant.
No details about the restaurant menu have been released (it's still in the works, per Disney), but they've described it as "a gastropub ambience with New England-inspired comfort food." It will be open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Disney describes the theming as the "cozy warmth of a lighthouse."
Additionally, the restaurant, categorized as casual table service, will be on the Disney Dining Plan when it opens.
The updated Market at Ale & Compass will have a small merchandise area opening later this month, said Disney. The area, which offers 28 seats for diners, sells made-to-order and grab n' go food options.
