BeaverTails, perhaps one of the best desserts missing from Orlando's food scene, are coming back to Central Florida.
The pastries, which once held court at Walt Disney World's Epcot theme park, will be back in May at the Vineland Premium Outlets, according to the brand. No officially opening date has been announced.
The Canada-based brand was a staple of the Canada pavilion in World Showcase for the better part of a decade before going away years ago.
Pino Di Ioia, the company's CEO, has been pushing to bring the brand back to Central Florida. In recent years, he's even brought a mobile truck to the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions show so attendees could get a taste for the fresh pastry.
The Orlando location would be the only in the state.
If you're unfamiliar with the product, think of fried dough and then make it a million times better somehow. Options include fresh dough coated in cinnamon sugar and squeezed with a lemon wedge (Do it. It's amazing. You're welcome.) or covered in hazelnut spread.
Other menu items typically include poutine, specialty drinks and BeaverDogs.
