Just when you thought Orlando couldn't handle anymore Star Wars, you thought wrong.
A Star Wars-inspired Resort is coming to Walt Disney World, said Bob Chapek, chairman of Walt Disney Parks and Resorts, at the D23 Expo in Anaheim. The resort is part of the new Disney 360 vacation concept.
"It's unlike anything that exists today," said Chapek Saturday. "From the second you arrive, you will become a part of the Star Wars story."
Describing the experience, Chapek said guests "become a citizen of the galaxy" and can expect to need to dress the part. The "100 percent" immersive resort is a starship packed with characters, stories and adventures, said Chapek.
No opening date or specific location of the resort was announced Saturday.
For Disneyland Paris, Chapek announced that they would be bringing “The Art Marvel” to Disney’s Hotel New York.
“We’re going to create a hotel at Disneyland Paris that would make Tony Stark proud,” said Chapek.
The “reImagination” will transport guests into the world of Marvel super heroes and feature Iron Man, The Avengers, Spider-Man and others.
