Beginning Oct. 15, select Walt Disney World properties will allow dogs to stay on-site.
Disney's Yacht Club Resort, Disney Port Orleans Riverside Resort, Disney's Art of Animation Resort and the cabins at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground are part of the pilot program.
According to Disney leaders, up to two dogs will be allowed per room.
When guests check in they will get "Pluto's Welcome Kit," which includes a mat, bowls, a pet ID tag, plastic disposable bags, puppy pads and dog walking maps for the resort. Additionally, a special "Do Not Disturb" tag will notify hotel staffers that a dog is inside.
In true Disney style, a line of select pet merchandise will soon be released at the four properties.
The new service does come with a price. A cleaning fee of $50 per room/per night will be charged at Art of Animation, Port Orleans Riverside and at Fort Wilderness. The nightly cleaning fee at Yacht Club is $75, according to Disney.
