Have yourself a merry (sweaty) little Christmas...
It's hotter than heck here in Orlando, but Walt Disney World is already looking to channel some holiday vibes with a Christmas in July celebration at Disney Springs. The event will run July 15-30, according to the Disney Parks Blog.
Not only can guests start their holiday shopping early with specially-themed merchandise at the Disney Springs Marketplace, but there will be entertainment and treats as well.
Santa may catch a tan when he's here, but that won't stop "Summer Santa" from visiting for photos from 1-10 p.m. during the event. Additionally, you'll hear a DJ playing Christmas music and could even get holiday face painting around the to-be decorated shopping and entertainment complex.
The Art of Disney is featuring holiday-inspired art with artist meet ups and Dockside Margaritas has a special pour called the Snowflake Margarita to mark the occasion.
If the Snowflake Margarita doesn't sound like your thing (which we'll have to discuss later), the Starbucks in the Marketplace will have holiday themed drinks for purchase.
The extreme theming carries into the snack department with specialty items being available at Goofy's Candy Company, Disney's Candy Cauldron, AristoCrepes and Amorette's Patisserie. Be on the lookout for things like peppermint bark, Santa Mickey and Minnie specialty apples and gingerbread everywhere.
