Terralina Crafted Italian, an all-new restaurant coming to Disney Springs early next year, sounds like it will deliver a seriously relaxing spot to eat with friends.
The restaurant, being opened by the Levy Restaurant group, is "expected to transport guests to 'la dolce vita,' (the sweet life) essence of the spectacular Lake District of Northern Italy," according to the Disney Parks Blog.
Disney leaders recently chatted with Alison Weber, the chief creative officer for Levy, and shared some details about the new eatery and what we can expect when it opens in 2018.
“The story here is of a first-generation Italian family, from the Lake District, who built a home in Disney Springs," Weber told Disney.
Weber said the storyline is that the house kept expanding to welcome more friends and neighbors. The atmosphere is set to encourage people to enjoy their conversation and time together at the restaurant.
When it comes to the physical structure, the space will feature an open rotunda that has a rustic stone fireplace inside. An outdoor patio with a veranda bar "spills out into the Disney Spring promenade," according to Disney. Views of Lake Buena Vista can be enjoyed in the two-story glass conservatory. The restaurant's menus is being created by James Beard-Award Winning Chef Tony Mantuano. Disney teased details about the drink and food menu are forthcoming.
