Disney Imagineers have really focused on the details when it comes to the construction of Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge, the new land coming to Disney's Hollywood Studios.
Sharing details of the land Saturday at the Star Wars: Galactic Nights event, Imagingeers Robin Reardon and Chris Beatty, and Doug Chiang from Lucasfilm, talked about progress being made.
Chiang talked about building a fleet of full-size X-wing Starfighters and the panel focused on the authenticity building a real place in the Star Wars universe.
The biggest news, however, was the retail that is coming as part of the new land. Concept art for a toy stall was shared this weekend, depicting the truly immersive theming guests of Galaxy's Edge should expect when it opens in 2019.
Disney leaders said the shop will sell "all kinds of fun and cool toys straight out of the Star Wars galaxy." It will also sell hand-crafted items by local artisans. The question of if those artisans are from Central Florida or the larger galaxy remains unanswered by Disney.
We were also treated to a photo inside the Millennium Falcon, which we'll be able to walk through once the land opens. Check it out below!
