With how fast 2017 is rolling along, it's not too early to be planning your New Year's Eve festivities.
And just like that, Disney swoops in the save the day... well... night. Reservations for three different events at Walt Disney World's Contemporary Resort open tomorrow.
Here are the events that go one sale tomorrow:
• "Disney Countdown to Midnight," an evening of dining and dancing. The event, for guests 18+, takes place in the Fantasia Ballroom from 8 p.m. to 1 a.m. Food, drinks, music, and a champagne toast are part of the package. An appearance from none other than Mickey and Minnie Mouse has been teased.
• “Pixar Party: A New Year’s Eve Celebration” is the family-friendly holiday party that features a Disney Pixar-inspired dinner. Guests will be welcomed to the Ballroom of the Americas by the one and only Sarge. And, according to the party's description on the Disney Parks Blog, there's going to be some epic photo opportunities.
"From Andy’s Room in “Toy Story” to and Metro City with The Incredibles, the immersive celebration will include theatrical backdrops, dramatic set pieces and fun props that re-create the fantastic worlds of the Pixar films. And, of course, favorite characters will be on hand from "Toy Story," "The Incredibles," "Cars" and "Up.",' reads the blog.
There will also be Pixar face painting, a balloon artist and a boot camp with Sarge. The event runs from 8 p.m.-12:15 a.m.
• And last, but certainly not least, "Down in New Orleans: A Disney New Year's Even Dining Experience" takes place in the Grand Republic Ballroom.
The room will be decorated like the French Quarter and guests will feel like they've been taken to the Big Easy. Attendees will nosh on oyster beignets, smoked salmon mousse cones with caviar, Kobe beef tartare and sheep’s milk ricotta gnocchi while listening to the stylings of a jazz band.
Other eats include herb-crusted Louisiana redfish, crayfish etouffee, Black Angus beef cooked two ways, braised short ribs and filet of beef with truffled celery root silk.
This event runs from 7 p.m.-12:15 a.m.
All three include prime viewing locations of the Magic Kingdom fireworks at midnight.
Reservations can be made by calling 407-WDW-DINE. And, no. Disney hasn't released pricing details yet. Once we get them, we'll update this story.
