LEGOLAND Florida Resort wants guests to know exactly how they can cancel or reschedule their vacations in advance of Hurricane Irma making its way to Florida.
Right now, it's still too early to tell what the storm means for Central Florida, but the Winter Haven theme park built for kids is already prepping for the storm.
Park leaders released information Tuesday about their hurricane policies and what you need to know now to best prepare for Irma. Specifically, the blog post includes information about hotel reservations, park tickets and more.
This is the big thing people need to know, per the park's website:
If the National Hurricane Center issues a hurricane warning for the Central Florida area — or for your place of residence — within seven days of your scheduled arrival date, you may reschedule or cancel your LEGOLAND Florida Resort visit without any penalties or fees imposed by LEGOLAND and/or Merlin Entertainments.
It's worth noting that LEGOLAND's policy only applies to things booked directly though the resort or LEGOLAND Vacations. Third party bookings need to be handled with either those companies or the travel agents who did the booking.
