New renderings of the Margaritaville Resort Orlando offer a glimpse at what the new destination will look like once it opens next year.
The rendering, released Wednesday, shows what vacation-rental home owners will see when visit the Jimmy Buffett-themed destination that's under construction in Kissimmee off U.S. 192 just south of Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge.
"We traveled many islands to bring our vision for Margaritaville Resort Orlando's vacation cottages to like and the result is incredible exciting," said Jim Bagley, the project's developer. "Those who chose to enjoy a second home, purchase a vacation rental cottage, or rent a holiday home for vacation will enjoy Margaritaville's sense of fun and escapism in a uniquely customized way."
A quick look at the rendering depicts a luscious, tropical escape and vacation homes in bright colors like blue, yellow, coral and green. The $750 million development will open sometime in late 2018. When it does, it will feature 1,000 residential units, including a mix of cottages and other style vacation homes, villas and timeshare units.
It will also feature a 187-room Margaritaville hotel, shopping and dining, swimming areas, a 12-acre water park (that is open to the public), and other amenities for guests of the laidback destination.
