Like thousands of other people, I braved the Walt Disney World crowds Saturday, hoping to get a little time with some of Disney's best (and least seen) characters.
I won't use the word rare to describe them, the likes of which included Mushu, Dopey and Cruella de Vil, but it certainly was a great chance to meet a ton of characters in one day.
Saturday's event, which aligned with World Photo Day, was the second time Disney did it. Last year's event was wildly successful with similarly large crowds descending on all four parks and Disney Springs to see characters that don't always make an appearance on property.
In addition to meeting characters, Disney PhotoPass photographers were stationed around the parks with special effects. The fisheye lens in front of Spaceship Earth best captured the scale of the iconic attraction and the poison apple MagicShot at Disney's Hollywood Studios was what I had expected to be my favorite offer this year!
In an unexpected twist, my absolute favorite was an unplanned greeting with Perla, the mouse that sewed Cinderella's dress and the subsequent twirl the Disney photographer captured for me.
These are my favorite pictures from a whirlwind morning around the resort.
